2022 DfAM Poster Competition

As part of the Computational Tools: Pushing the Frontiers of DfAM, we are pleased to announce the launch of the EPSRC DfAM Network Student Poster Competition 2022.

The competition aims to help promote the value for students and early career researchers to adopt DfAM in their design practices and invites students to showcase their work in Design for Additive Manufacturing utilising Computational Tools.

DfAM is slowly but steadily seeing a shift from a more expertise driven discipline to a more data driven one. The emergence and maturation of powerful methods such as topology optimisation approaches that encompass infills/lattice and considers manufacturability and material anisotropy is challenging the status-quo of what DfAM entails.

We welcome submissions that explore how these new computational approaches are influencing Design for AM.

What to do (applications closed)

Produce a poster about your work in Design for Additive Manufacturing, supported by a short video about the poster (up to 3 minutes long).

Deadline – 31st July 2022 (midnight)

Prizes:

1st – £120

2nd – £60

3rd – £30

The winners will be announced at an EPSRC DfAM event in 2022, in the presence of a community of DfAM experts from academia and industry. The competition is open to current undergraduate and postgraduate students from UK institutions.
